A religious video teaches children to be homophobic
The short film by Jehovah’s Witnesses concludes that “we can all change” in reference that homosexuality can be cured
A website of the Jehovah’s Witnesses has published an animated short with clear homophobic overtones. The video supports the thesis that, in order to go to heaven, Jehovah’s standards must be met, including not having homosexual relationships.
The short, titled Lesson 22: a man, a woman , is made in a very modern format, similar to that of Pixar, and is aimed at a young audience to convince them that the way of God and faith is not compatible with homosexuality .

The video tells the story of a girl who is surprised to learn that her classmate, Clara, has two lesbian mothers. When he arrives home and his mother tells him, she replies that “it is Jehovah” who says what is “good”. Before the answer, the girl first doubts and responds to her mother that “the teacher” has told her that what counts is “that people love each other and be happy”, but later she ends up being convinced and obeys her mother when she says that “marriage is between a man and a woman”.
The video concludes saying that “we can all change”, in a clear allegation that homosexuality can be cured, as if it were a disease.
